MESSAGE TO PARENTS
All teens want to make their life count. It’s our universal journey. Significance, purpose, and a place to belong all are aspects of this journey. Looking for what matters most can be a struggle. We can relate, because we were there too. That’s why our goal is to help teens discover the life altering journey of faith. The journey as far more than knowing God, but passionately pursing a life long love with the King.
Elmyouth is the umbrella name for the Youth Ministries at ELMchurch. You will see “Invite” events to both help students feel comfortable connecting their friends with their youth group and allowing new students a point of entry. Our weekly youth group is a “gathering” for students to hang, play sweet games, develop deeper friendships, hear a tailored message to encourage and challenge students to encounter God beyond the walls of our teen center.
If students discover the joy altering relationship with God during their teen years, we believe they’ll continue to follow Christ throughout their lives. Life in suburban Chicago means choices, freedom, and exploration. The question is not what we will discover, but will it bring fulfillment. Below you’ll find our purpose statement. It is more than a motto or a saying; it is the point on the tip of all we do. As you read it, ask if this is something you may be looking for. If it is, come check us out. You’re welcome anytime.
“In community, for His fame, that all may know Christ.”
In community - helping teens through life changing relationships by providing a place for them to seek Christ and connect to faith in community;
For His fame - hrough care, encouragement, and equipping, ELMyouth helps teens investigate God’s Word, experience authentic worship and provides opportunities to express compassion and service.
All may know Christ - As teens connect and grow, the natural next step is ownership. Teens are already seeking direction and purpose, so it might as well be for the ultimate! ELMyouth wants to empower teens to affect the homes, schools, city and world in which they live.

Sunday Morning
6th-12th Grade, Lower Level Fellowship Hall, Sundays from 9:15 - 10:15 am
Discipleship Circles are our version of small groups for students. Consolidation and maximization are the best words to describe the core reason for shifting Sunday school into a small group ministry.
DC provide five advantages for students:
- A better sense of community.
- Easier to focus on doing a few things really well and allowing the lesser important things to fall away.
- Easier to welcome guests and new comers.
- Deeper potential for growth.
- Better environment for leaders to be in-tune with students lives.
Discipleship Circles format:
9:10-9:20am: Welcome in the fellowship hall (food)
9:20-9:30am: Announcements/Big Idea
9:30-10:15am: DC groups
— Middle School guys/girls - Lozanos in Fellowship Hall
— High School girls - Janice Burkhart in room 206 & Marci Bennett in room 208
— High School Guys - John Bennett in room 207
