YOUTH MINISTRIES

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUNDAY EDUCATION

"Know God, know ourselves and love God and others"

Middle Schoolers are at a crossroads between childhood and their teens. It is at this point many attitudes and habits for life are formed. For this reason learning who God is, trusting Him to help us with how we live our lives and seeing Him at work is crucial.

“Have faith in God.” – Mark 11:22

We desire for Middle Schoolers to see what God has given us in Christ Jesus, and grow in love toward Him and others. We learn about God, learn about ourselves and learn how to respond to God and others. Our primary purpose is to provide tools for understanding God’s word, explore how to live God’s way and trust God to continue to work in and through us as we do His work.

Sunday — 9:15 am - 10:15 am

HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY EDUCATION

High School Sunday School is an opportunity for anyone High School age (whether you're a part of ELMchurch youth group or not) to "dive in deeper".

Do you have questions about why the Bible may say something confusing? How do you apply that talk you heard at youth group? Well, our 45 minutes each Sunday morning is a perfect time to bring this stuff up!

We typically follow a curriculum each week as a basis for discussion and discovery, but it's flexible depending on the dynamics and the input of the group. Feel free to come with questions and stories.

Sunday — 9:15 am - 10:15 am

Previous topics include: Prayer, Creation, Heaven and Bible book studies.

Future topics will likely include: Handling your money, Purity in the 21st century and Managing your emotions.

Please contact the church office with questions at 630.832.9100.

SFC - SOULDIERS for CHRIST
(Middle School Youth Group)

Jr. High is a time where you are trying to go from just being a kid to becoming a young adult. The transition is made easier by finding the biblical paths through this time of life.

SFC is a place for all students to feel safe. Students get chances to talk one on one with the leadership team. All students are encouraged to work together in projects and lessons.

We begin with a little hang out time followed by:

  • Games which are primarily group oriented. If it is a well known game we give it an SFC twist!
  • Special emphasis time rotating on a three week schedule.

Week one: Family time; this is something like a get to know you question.

Week two: Praise time; we take time out to sing praises to God.

Week three: The young men and young women are divided into respective peer groups for the evening.

  • Lesson based on the Bible. These range from practical skills to biblical knowledge. They are all very interactive.

Wednesday — 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Please contact the church office with questions at 630.832.9100.

IMPACT
(High School Youth Group)

Life is hard enough as a teenager as you go through daily life and move toward adulthood. Why walk through it alone?

Impact is a place where believers and non-believers alike find people to encourage them . We look to the Bible for guidance and strength to get through everyday challenges.

Tuesday — 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm

We begin with a time to hang out and catch up with friends followed by:

  • group activities and games
  • lessons based on the Bible
  • brief time of singing and worship
  • time to ask questions one-on-one with a leader or a peer

Please contact the church office with questions at 630.832.9100.
